Soccer Recap: Langston Hughes Comes Up Short

Langston Hughes lost against Westlake back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Langston Hughes Panthers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Westlake Lions. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Langston Hughes' defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Westlake, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Langston Hughes will square off against Dutchtown at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dutchtown will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Langston Hughes surely won't give up without a fight. As for Westlake, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Westlake challenge Chapel Hill at 7:30 p.m. on March 20th. They are facing Chapel Hill at the right time seeing as Chapel Hill is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
