Softball Recap: Fort Calhoun Takes a Loss

Fort Calhoun fell victim to Elkhorn North and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 8-0 to the Wolves. The Pioneers haven't had much luck with the Wolves recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Fort Calhoun saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kayla Kratz, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Fort Calhoun's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Elkhorn North, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 6-2.

Coming up, Fort Calhoun will head out on the road to square off against Douglas County West at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Pioneers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcon have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Elkhorn North, they have already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Ralston on the 6th.
