Softball Recap: Trion Beats Rome for Their Third Straight Victory

In Wednesday's Canine Competition, Trion came out on top. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Rome Wolves a 13-0 shutout on Wednesday. Considering the Bulldogs have won three matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was Trion's third in a row) raised their record to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Rome, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trion will host Model at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rome, they will face off against New Manchester at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
