Baseball Recap: Appling County Snags Seventh Win in Last Eight Games

The Appling County Pirates were able to grind out a solid win over the Crisp County Cougars on Tuesday, taking the game 6-1.

Appling County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Crisp County, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-17.

Appling County will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cougars: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
