Basketball Recap: Bayfront Charter Takes a Loss

Bayfront Charter was the 50-31 winner over San Ysidro when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Bayfront Charter Sharks took a 40-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the San Ysidro Cougars.

San Ysidro's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kimberly Valdez, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Madison Wittlieff, who had 11 points.

Bayfront Charter now has a losing record at 2-3. As for San Ysidro, with the win, they broke their 30-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-10.

Bayfront Charter has already played their next match, a 43-21 defeat against Sweetwater on the 4th. As for San Ysidro, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 69-17 loss against Santana on the 7th.
