Soccer Recap: Redwood Christian Takes a Loss

Redwood Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Athenian Owls. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Eagles couldn't quite close it out.

Redwood Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Athenian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7-1.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing St. Joseph Notre Dame the next time they take the pitch. Redwood Christian will head out to face St. Joseph Notre Dame at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, while Athenian will host them at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
