Volleyball Recap: St. John's Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Branchville, St. John was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cross Trojans. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Islanders also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

St. John's never let Cross on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-23, 25-7.

St. John's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Cross, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. St. John's is set to face off against their familiar foe Baptist Hill at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cross will take on rival Military Magnet Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
