Soccer Recap: California City Takes a Loss

California City lost against Bishop Union back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The California City Ravens came up short against the Bishop Union Broncos, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Ravens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1037th, while the Broncos are ranked 348th).

California City has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13-2 record this season. As for Bishop Union, they pushed their record up to 16-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

California City will take on Kern Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kern Valley knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past three games -- so hopefully California City likes a good challenge. Bishop Union does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
