Baseball Recap: Scituate Gets the Win

Scituate's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Juanita Sanchez Complex Cavaliers 10-9. The victory continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Cavaliers: they've now won eight in a row.

Matt Johnson tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over 4.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April.

At the plate, Drake Dumont and Aiden Ouillette did most of the damage at the plate: Dumont went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple, while Ouillette went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave Ouillette a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler North, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

Scituate's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Juanita Sanchez Complex, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.
