Recap: Riverview Raiders vs. Bishop Canevin Crusaders
The Riverview Raiders lost against the Bishop Canevin Crusaders back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Riverview fell 54-44 to Bishop Canevin. Riverview has not had much luck with Bishop Canevin recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the loss, Riverview had strong showings from Lola Abraham, who scored ten points along with four steals, and Katerina Tsambis, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Tsambis' trending in the right direction, as she's improved his point production for three games straight.
Riverview has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-5 record this season. As for Bishop Canevin, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverview will take on Leechburg at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bishop Canevin, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Rochester at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. Rochester is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
