Dunwoody extended their winning streak to five on Monday, bumping them up to 8-3. They were the clear victors by a 17-3 margin over the Lakeside Vikings. Considering the Wildcats have won five matchups by more than 12 runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Lakeside, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered against Dunwoody since August 16, 2022.

For Lakeside's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Willow Wilson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dunwoody will take on Shiloh at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Generals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.67 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Lakeside, they are taking a road trip to face off against Chamblee at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season.
