Football Recap: Derby Comes Up Short at Home Against Hays + How To Watch

Derby unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 22-21 to the Hays Indians. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Looking ahead, Derby is taking a road trip to take on Haysville Campus on Friday. As for Hays, they will challenge Choctaw at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
