Soccer Recap: Sanger West Finishes Even with Fresno

For the first time this season, Sanger West was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor the Fresno Warriors could gain the upper hand on Friday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Sanger West's goal came courtesy of Lauren Beltran, who's now up to two this season.

Sanger West's draw gives them a new season record of 4-6-1. As for Fresno, they moved theirs to 1-10-2.

Sanger West will host Sunnyside at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sunnyside's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Fresno, they will be playing in front of their home fans against McLane at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Fresno's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for eight straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
