Softball Recap: Eaglecrest Takes a Loss

Eaglecrest dropped to 18-4 on Monday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They lost 14-1 to the Broomfield Eagles. The game marked the Raptors' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

As for Broomfield, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games.

For Broomfield's part, Serenity Molloy was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most hits Molloy has posted since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Martinez, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Coming up, Eaglecrest will venture away from home to square off against Cherokee Trail at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Broomfield, they will welcome Silver Creek at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raptors have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
