Soccer Game Preview: Hercules vs. Vallejo

The Hercules Titans will venture away from home to square off against the Vallejo Redhawks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Hercules came up short against Salesian College Preparatory on Tuesday, falling 8-1. The Titans haven't had much luck with the Pride recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, Vallejo fell victim to St. Patrick-St. Vincent and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bruins. The Redhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hercules' defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 2-4-1. As for Vallejo, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3-1.

Hercules took their win against Vallejo in their previous meeting back in January of 2022 by a conclusive 3-0. Does Hercules have another victory up their sleeve, or will Vallejo turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
