Softball Recap: Westwood Comes Up Short

Westwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 14-0 to the Southwest Georgia Academy Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 on September 11th.

Westwood's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Southwest Georgia Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Westwood will face off against Crisp Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westwood's pitchers better be ready for this one: Crisp Academy has averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season. As for Southwest Georgia Academy, they will be playing at home against Fullington Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
