Notre Dame was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Poplar Bluff on Tuesday. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Mules with a sharp 17-6 win. Considering the Bulldogs have won three matches by more than ten runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Notre Dame is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Poplar Bluff, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Notre Dame is taking a road trip to challenge North County at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Poplar Bluff, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Farmington at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
