If Border West beats Ortonville with 44 points on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. Border West breezed past Win-E-Mac to the tune of 44-6 on Friday. The result was nothing new for Border West, who have now won three contests by 26 points or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Ortonville scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They were beaten by Clearbrook-Gonvick 54-22.

The victory made it two in a row for Border West and bumps their season record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 22 points in those games. As for Ortonville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
