Recap: Northern Bedford County Panthers vs. Mount Union Trojans

The Northern Bedford County Panthers stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 68-33 victory over Mount Union. Given Northern Bedford County's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 322nd, while Mount Union is ranked 652nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Mount Union lost, one person who can't be blamed is Maddie Dimoff. Despite the final result, she scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Patyn Crisswell was another key contributor, scoring no points along with nine rebounds.

Northern Bedford County pushed their record up to 11-5 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Mount Union, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northern Bedford County will challenge Southern Fulton at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Southern Fulton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Friday. As for Mount Union, they will head out on the road to take on Williamsburg at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Williamsburg is coming into the match hot, having won their last 13 games.
