Riverdale is 0-5 against Princeton since April of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Rams are taking a road trip to take on the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Riverdale is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.

Riverdale took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Orion 6-5.

Riverdale let Jackson Fritch and Austin Duke run wild. Fritch went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Duke went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs Duke has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Tyler Nadolson, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Princeton duked it out with Erie-Prophetstown on Thursday. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Cardinals 2-1. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Braden Shaw was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Riverdale's record now sits at 11-4. As for Princeton, their record is now 5-7.

Riverdale might still be hurting after the 22-11 defeat they got from Princeton when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
