Soccer Game Preview: Justin-Siena vs. Casa Grande

Justin-Siena hasn't had much luck against Casa Grande recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Justin-Siena Braves will head out to take on the Casa Grande Gauchos at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Casa Grande better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Justin-Siena really get things going. Justin-Siena's defense stepped up to hand Napa a 7-0 shutout on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Casa Grande hasn't lost a match yet, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. Everything went their way against American Canyon as Casa Grande made off with an 11-0 win. Given the Gauchos' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 127th, while Wolves are ranked 1092nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Casa Grande's offense was hitting American Canyon from everywhere, as ten different players booted in a goal. Kalina Johnson led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Casa Grande's victory bumped their record up to 8-0-2. As for Justin-Siena, their win bumped their record up to 5-6-1.

Justin-Siena suffered a grim 7-0 defeat to Casa Grande when the teams last played on January 8th. Can Justin-Siena avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
