Basketball Recap: Walnut Starts off Right with Win over Capistrano Valley

Walnut had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They strolled past the Capistrano Valley Cougars with points to spare, taking the game 61-46. For the Mustangs, this counts as revenge for the 74-37 win the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2020.

Looking ahead, Walnut won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Calvary Baptist at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Capistrano Valley, they will challenge Mark Keppel at 6:35 p.m. on Friday.
