Softball Game Preview: Delta Panthers vs. Montrose Red Hawks + Official Tickets

The Delta Panthers will challenge the Montrose Red Hawks at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Delta has given up an average of 7 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Delta made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Durango, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Panthers fell just short of the Demons by a score of 11-9 on Monday. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Jazlyn Naranjo was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-5 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Brylee Bush, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Montrose hadn't done well against Palisade recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Red Hawks came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 5-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Hawks.

Bentley Schiller made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Schiller wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Isabelle Mott, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Montrose's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Delta, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-8.
