Softball Game Preview: Crisp County Cougars vs. Pierce County Bears

The Crisp County Cougars are taking a road trip to square off against the Pierce County Bears at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Crisp County is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Everything went their way against Shaw as they made off with an 11-3 victory.

Meanwhile, Pierce County waltzed into their game on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Hornets an 18-0 shutout.

Pierce County's win bumped their record up to 23-8. As for Crisp County, the victory got them back to even at 13-13.

Crisp County couldn't quite get it done against Pierce County in their previous meeting back in September as they fell 5-2. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
