Meadowbrook Christian put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They skirted past Milton 42-39. Given Meadowbrook Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 70th, while Milton is ranked 357th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kailey Devlin was her usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with six assists and four steals. The contest was her sixth in a row with at least ten points. Alayna Smith was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine rebounds.
Meadowbrook Christian pushed their record up to 7-0 with that win, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Milton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
Meadowbrook Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Montgomery at 7:00 p.m. on December 29th. Montgomery is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Milton, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Central Columbia at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
