Softball Recap: Landmark Christian Comes Up Short

Landmark Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 19-3 to the Mount Vernon Mustangs. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since October 3, 2016, but that streak is no more.

Landmark Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-8-1. As for Mount Vernon, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Landmark Christian will face off against King's Ridge Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The War Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 12.2 runs per game this season. As for Mount Vernon, they will take on Lakeside at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
