Soccer Game Preview: Santa Ana vs. Garden Grove

Santa Ana and Garden Grove are an even 2-2-3 against one another since January of 2019, but likely not for long. The Santa Ana Saints will host the Garden Grove Argonauts at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

If Garden Grove heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Santa Ana took over last week. Santa Ana came out on top in a nail-biter against Calvary Chapel on Thursday, sneaking past 2-1.

Meanwhile, Garden Grove kept a clean sheet against Calvary Chapel on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Eagles. Considering the Argonauts have won seven games by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Garden Grove has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3-3 record this season. As for Santa Ana, their win bumped their record up to 10-6-2.
