North Posey dropped down to 14-13 on Thursday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Evansville Memorial Tigers by a score of 2-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

As for Evansville Memorial, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games.

For Evansville Memorial's part, Brady Mason looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Mason has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Evansville Memorial saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wes Kelley, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
