Baseball Recap: Spencer Takes a Loss

Spencer lost against Jordan back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Spencer came up short against Jordan, falling 13-1. The Greenwave just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Spencer saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caylen Brunsen, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Spencer's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Jordan, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spencer will welcome Sumter County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Spencer's pitchers better be ready for this one: Sumter County has averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. As for Jordan, they will be playing at home against Kendrick at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jordan is facing Kendrick at the right time seeing as Kendrick is stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
