Soccer Recap: Canby Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Canby, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Putnam Kingsmen on Thursday as they made off with a 6-1 victory. Considering Canby have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Putnam from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Isaiah Martinez led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Canby has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those four matches. As for Putnam, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
