Softball Game Preview: York Wildcats vs. Medomak Valley Panthers

The York Wildcats will take on the Medomak Valley Panthers at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. York is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

York is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over Freeport. Those six runs were actually the fewest the Wildcats have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Meanwhile, Medomak Valley faced Leavitt in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Hornets. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Medomak Valley is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for York, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.
