Soccer Recap: Senn Comes Up Short

Senn lost against Schurz on September 5th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Senn fell just short of Schurz by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, Senn can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 290th, while Schurz is ranked 112th).

Senn's goal came courtesy of Anderson Mosquera, which was the first he's scored this season.

Senn has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8-2 record this season. As for Schurz, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4-1 record this season.

Senn has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Ridgewood on the 4th. As for Schurz, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-1 win against Juarez on the 1st.
