Softball Recap: Cushing Triumphs

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Cushing and Blackwell, and Cushing kept the tradition alive. The Tigers put the hurt on the Maroons with a sharp 7-1 victory on Friday. The Tigers not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since September 25, 2024 (when they won 9-0).

Cushing's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Blackwell, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Cushing didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-1 loss against Muskogee on the 15th. As for Blackwell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 5-3 victory against Stroud on the 15th.
