Basketball Recap: Riverside Panthers vs. Hopewell Vikings
Riverside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 50-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hopewell Vikings. The Panthers lost against the Vikings in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 50-15 score last time.
Riverside's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Hopewell, they moved to 1-3 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.
Riverside will be defending their home-court for the first time this season they go up against Western Beaver at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hopewell, they will take on Ellwood City at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
