Basketball Recap: Brentwood School Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Brentwood School had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They managed a 59-54 victory over the Esperanza Aztecs.

Brentwood School's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lev Feiman, who posted 16 points and eight rebounds. Feiman is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Payton Sugar, who had 15 points.

Brentwood School smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Despite the loss, Esperanza still got an impressive performance from Charlotte Muller, who went 7 of 13 on her way to 20 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexa Muller, who put up eight points.

Brentwood School's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Esperanza, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-3.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing West the next time they take the court. Esperanza will host West at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Brentwood School will head out to face them at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
