Richmond has gone a perfect 10-0 against Muncie Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Red Devils will face off against the Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. Richmond is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Monday just wasn't the day for Richmond's offense. They came up short against Hagerstown on Monday, falling 13-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Red Devils have suffered since May 7th.

Meanwhile, Muncie Central had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Muncie Burris 14-1 on Saturday.

Parker Shelley made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Muncie Central's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-2 (and 0-17 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Ryan Graham and Gage Emberton did most of the damage at the plate: Graham went 1-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs, while Emberton went 3-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and one stolen base. Muncie Central is 3-1 when Emberton posts two or more runs, but 1-18 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashtin Mullis, who went 2-for-4 with five RBI and one triple.

Richmond's loss dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Muncie Central, their win bumped their record up to 4-19.

Richmond was able to grind out a solid victory over Muncie Central when the teams last played back in April, winning 6-3. Will the Red Devils repeat their success, or do the Bearcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
