Baseball Game Preview: Eastside Eagles vs. Madison County Red Raiders

For the second straight game, Eastside will face off against Madison County. The Eagles will head out to take on the Red Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

Eastside took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Madison County 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since April 3, 2024.

Braydon Smith was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Chase Jordan was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Eastside hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four strikeouts batters in four consecutive games.

Madison County dropped their record down to 3-19 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road. As for Eastside, their victory bumped their record up to 6-16.
