Milton had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Lanier on Monday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Longhorns with a sharp 8-1 victory. The Eagles not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 5th.

Milton's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-12. As for Lanier, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season.
