It was a good run, but Calvin Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-match winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Orange Glen Patriots, falling 3-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Crusaders haven't been shut out since back in September.

Calvin Christian was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-14, 25-19.

Julia Hoekstra paced Calvin Christian's offense, picking up six kills. Hoekstra got some help from Kaidance Katje and her six assists. Lucy Gordon controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Calvin Christian's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Orange Glen, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Calvin Christian will square off against rival Guajome Park Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Orange Glen is set to face off against their familiar foe Coastal Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
