Dawson County owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Johns Creek Gladiators. The three-run effort marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Dawson County got a great performance from Madison Dudney as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over 6.2 innings pitched. Dudney has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kaelyn Utech was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilly Hamilton, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Dawson County hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

The win made it two in a row for Dawson County and bumps their season record up to 6-2. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for Johns Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Looking ahead, Dawson County will be playing in front of their home fans against Rabun County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Johns Creek, they will challenge Seckinger at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Gladiators' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
