Basketball Recap: Everett Takes a Loss

Everett easily dispatched Tussey Mountain on Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Everett Warriors fell just short of the Southern Huntingdon County Rockets by a score of 51-49 on Friday. The Warriors have struggled against the Rockets recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Everett still got an impressive performance from Morgan Bowser, who posted 13 points and eight boards. That's the most rebounds Bowser has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Addison Wood, who earned six points and eight boards.

Even though they lost, Everett smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in three consecutive matches.

Everett's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Southern Huntingdon County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

Everett does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southern Huntingdon County, they will take on United at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
