Hebron Christian faced Prince Avenue Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Lions walked away with a 6-2 win over the Wolverines. The victory was familiar territory for the Lions, who have now won six matchups in a row.

Kate Kennedy tossed a big game, striking out 11 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Gabby Raysor, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Lauren Kyranakis was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

Hebron Christian hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in seven consecutive games.

Hebron Christian's win bumped their record up to 17-1. As for Prince Avenue Christian, the loss snapped their winning streak at 15 games and leaves them with a 16-2 record.
