Baseball Recap: Verona Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

While Verona's victory against Janesville Parker wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Vikings 8-7. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Verona's victory bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Janesville Parker, they moved to 13-7 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Janesville Parker will welcome Westosha Central at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Verona will be paying especially close attention to the Vikings' contest: after the Vikings face off against the Falcons, they'll take on Verona again at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
