Softball Recap: Woodstock Comes Up Short

Woodstock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the South Paulding Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolverines of the 15-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Woodstock's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for South Paulding, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Woodstock will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Kell at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Paulding, they will take on Bremen at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
