Baseball Recap: Madison Plains Takes a Loss

Madison Plains fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Berne Union on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Rockets by a score of 7-6.

Ben Rolfe and Paul Madden did some serious damage despite the final result: Rolfe went 2-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Madden went 3-for-5 with two RBI and one double. Blane Stingle was another key player, going 1-for-5 with two runs and one stolen base.

Madison Plains dropped their record down to 11-12 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Berne Union, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-10-1.

As of now, neither Madison Plains nor the Rockets have any future games scheduled.
