South Fork faced Ferndale in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Cubs lost 5-0 to the Wildcats. South Fork haven't had much luck with Ferndale recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

South Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11-5. As for Ferndale, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-1-1.
