High school softball: North Carolina senior Jamari Moss tops national leaderboard with .851 batting average

Warren County senior has notched hits in 63 of 74 at-bats.

Jamari Moss of Warren County (Warrenton, N.C.) leads high school softball nationally with an .851 batting average according to statistics submitted to MaxPreps. The senior is headed to North Carolina A&T and has been a hitting machine this season.

In 13 games, Moss has at least three hits without recording an out for the 18-3 Eagles. In an April 5 doubleheader Moss got a hit in all 10 of her at-bats, knocking in 11 RBI in the process.

Junior Annalea Adams of Union County (Liberty, Ind.) is second in the country with an .833 batting average. The Auburn commit has driven in 37 RBI and has 19 extra-base hits this season for the 14-4 Patriots.

Danzee Bradshaw of Beaver (Utah) is ninth on the national leaderboard with a batting average of .750. The freshman has helped the Beavers to the state playoffs and has 35 RBI and 18 doubles.
