Georgia high school football: Week 8 schedule, scores

This week's high school football schedule in Georgia is headlined by No. 3 Walton (Marietta) traveling to No. 16 North Cobb (Kennesaw) on Friday.

Walton comes in with an undefeated 5-0 record and is ranked No. 15 in the nation after taking down North Paulding 44-24 last week. Led by Georgia commit Daniel Calhoun and Wake Forest commit Jeremy Hecklinski, Walton averages 55 points per game.

North Cobb is led by senior running back David Eziomume. The Clemson commit is close to 1,000 rushing yards on the season and went off for 325 yards and four touchdowns in a 42-27 win over Milton on Sept. 23.

Carrollton and the nation’s top sophomore Julian Lewis will take on East Coweta (Sharpsburg) in a battle of 5-1 squads. Carrollton is ranked No. 17 in the nation and won last year’s contest between the two teams 38-28.

Another key matchup is Langston Hughes (Fairburn), ranked No. 15 in Georgia, going on the road to take on East Paulding (Dallas). Senior Langston Hughes quarterback Air Noland, an Ohio State commit, is coming off an 11 of 12 passing performance for 164 yards and three touchdowns in a 64-0 win over Alexander.
