Toll Gate and Johnston are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Titans will take on the Panthers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Toll Gate has given up an average of 7.7 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Toll Gate lost 16-6 to Central on Tuesday. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Toll Gate saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Goodine, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Brody Lomas also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.

Meanwhile, Johnston didn't have quite enough to beat Rogers on Wednesday and fell 5-3.

Johnston also got a good showing from Luca Schroer, who struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). Schroer has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Anthony Vendetti was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one double. Another player making a difference was Ethan Bracey, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Toll Gate's record is now 6-14-1. As for Johnston, their record now sits at 8-10-1.

Toll Gate suffered a grim 22-1 defeat to Johnston in their previous meeting last Monday. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
