Softball Recap: Mercer Comes Up Short

Mercer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 17-5 to the Tri-County Mustangs. On the bright side, the five- run performance marked the Cardinals' highest-scoring game to date.

Mercer's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Tri-County, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Mercer will be playing in front of their home fans against Cainsville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tri-County, they will square off against Gilman City at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
